This applies to all human beings.So Karthik,somebody somewhere in this world is also trying to make you happy.Its a complete cycle so that every human being on earth can be happy and live life in a better way! Think of a world where values like "love","care","honesty","integrity","thinking rationally towards benifit of others" and "selflessness" have a meaning!
Well... It may be because He wants you to do more good to others & make them happy... :-D
