Life teaches us so many things. It tells us sometimes to keep going on when you are about to give up , shows us situations which make us exercise caution , brightens up our day with a smile or two or make it depressed showing us the stark realities. Its all up to us how we see life and what we take away from it. Everyone has an "eye" for life. Eyeing the good things in people n situations can make us feel optimistic or invoke pessimism if we see them with the wrong eye. All that we require is the "Good Eye" for life.
From my childhood Sachin has been the person I look up to. There are numerous instances and moments and his reactions have completely bowled me over. One instance however stands apart.

This instance is about the series debut of Sachin. He has just arrived at the international scene and The series was tied 0-0 after three tests. Sachin had not scored good runs in both first and second test. In the third test, Despite conceding lead of 65 runs in first innings, Pakistan had hit back through blistering spells from Wasim Akram and Waqar Yonus reducing India to 38 for 4 wickets. Experienced pros like Shrikanth, Manjrekar, Shastri and Azarauddin were back to pavilion. In walked Sachin, to join Sidhu. Waqar bowled a nasty bouncer that went smack on Sachin’s nose. The poor sixteen year old was badly hit and his nose started bleeding. It was bleeding so profusely that every one watching the match started feeling bad about this brutality.
An Indian team physiotherapist rushed to offer first-aid & Pakistan team members gathered to check out the bloody sight. As the physio tried to stop the bleeding, Sidhu suggested Sachin that he should retire hurt and come out later. That would give him some time to get his nose fixed. Even physio suggested him to get back to pavilion.
‘Main Khelega’ said Sachin
Sachin could have gone into the relative comfort of the dressing room but he didn’t. The heat was on, India was in trouble. The pace attack had its tail up, the blood was staining his gloves, his shirt, his face, his spirit. But the 16 year old kid would have none of it, he looked up & Main Khelega was his reply to all his troubles. In the aftermath of the incident , Sachin went on to score 57 runs and shared in a match-saving 101 run partnership with Sidhu. He then went on to play for India and become the highest run getter in the gentleman's game.
Thus , after watching that moment I learnt to see life with ' Main Khelega ' attitude. In life we may face hard and difficult situations. Things may seem bleak , but all we require is that optimistic outlook , the 'Main Khelega ' attitude , the ability to fight against all troubles and come out shining. There is always a solution for a problem or a bad situation we just need to believe there exists one.
