Why using google is not such a good idea !

 IS GOOGLE KILLING CREATIVITY ?

                              "Google it ! " is an advice we hear so many times.Google today has become synonymous with knowledge these days.You need to know something ? Just "Google it ! " and zap you get a result ! Ranging from just simple purposes to check the Internet connection, to copying complete projects, to finding help for almost everything, Google has really become indispensable.But is this information generating machine stifling human creativity ?
                           

                          Almost everybody today uses Google.People instead of thinking and applying their own solutions to the problems,turn to Google for their answers and this is really affecting the way we think & act.Google has become so intertwined in our lives that today we find it impossible to be without that search engine.Just think for a minute the meaning of the word Google Itself.By the end of the minute most of us will have realized that we don't know !

"Google stands for Googol which is the mathematical term for a 1 followed by 100 zeros."

Google is a very creative term named to give an idea of the information it can accommodate.Irony is,we accuse Google for killing creativity.Hundreds of people instead of applying their own brains type the term in Google to get a ready made answer.But those unfortunate souls are forgetting the fact that Google can give only the existing information.For example it can give a construction plan of a building,the area required,the related contacts but cannot help in actual planning of the building.Applying the theoretical knowledge without realising the physical and practical constraints can have disastrous consequences.This is where the human mind and creativity comes into play.Google can only provide existing information while creativity is something you have to think beyond the boundaries of current information or new innovations which are not present now.Its something which comes from within.
Google is a very handy and easy to access source of knowledge but having this knowledge at the tip sometimes causes people to spurn thinking and just "Google it ! ". So should we stop using Google ? Is that a solution ? The answer is No. The solution is found in one of human mind's beautiful creations "The Bhagvad geeta ! ". The verse being as follows :                                                                   

"uddhared atmanatmanam

  natmanam avasadayet 

    atmaiva hy atmano bandhur 

       atmaiva ripur atmanah"     

This verse from the fifth adhaya of Gita means man is both an enemy as well as his own brother but its upon himself and his own actions whether to make himself his brother or enemy.Similarly how to use Google is in man's hands.Its onto himself to use it for creation or destruction.Now another question which may arise is 

How ?

Throughout this essay i have used facts,meanings and verses which i obtained by using Google.They were taken to illustrate and convince the reader how creativity and Google go hand in hand to achieve a common objective.The one who puts creativity in a right perspective won't have any problem in differentiating amongst the online search and the search which one can do by taking efforts, like by referring to books,research, etc as well as by thinking.Thus i believe that Google is not killing the creativity of man rather its man himself who is responsible for his loss of creativity.Google as well as creativity can go hand in hand to achieve a common objective and be used to serve man for ages to come !!
