Just a beautiful conversation !

Some weeks back i was just browsing through You-tube videos when i stumbled upon video of Pareshaan song from Ishaqzaade and was browsing through numerous comments when i chanced upon a very strange one "someone plz tell me if there is anything so-called 'love'??? coz I have lost faith......" from a female user.

       Lets call her Ms.A.So with the sole intention of doing good that i started a conversation which ended up on the coveted question "Love Ya Arranged Marriage". Sharing the excerpts in the conversation that ensued:

Me:What kind of love are you talking about? Love is of so many different types and forms.Its very important to get the right kind of people for any type of love.

Ms A.:I am referring towards love between a boy and a girl.I wrote that because i have seen so many people who are married to each other and hate each other.Looking at them i feel like never getting married in my life.

Me:That is why it is very essential to find the right person.It may be anyone right from maybe the boy sitting next to you in college to anyone.The second thing to consider is that despite the fact of loving each other it also involves a lot of compromises,having faith and understanding each other.Enjoy the feeling of love with the person you love the most

Ms A:I haven't still found him yet. What do you think about arranged and love marriages?

Me:Both are appropriate and suitable according to the conditions and both have their pros and cons.In love marriages you know the person you are going to spend your life with so it prepares you for everything.But,again you expect too much from the person you love and "Love with expectation" is not the real love.Also sometimes we judge love wrongly.It may be just an initial attraction or lust.This way you get stuck for life or either you get a divorce.Again,sometimes your married life may get boring with that person because you may not experience something new with the person because he is the same old person you loved and you know him completely without any room for surprises which spice up life.Arranged marriages offer that stuff.The person fears losing you and wants to gain your trust and hence always tries to respect and care for you.This care once becomes a habit remains a habit so you may get a awesome person for life.But again,its at a risk as you don't know the person completely.What i think is the best way is an arranged love marriage.This means the person whom you find yourself to be compatible,spend some time with him/her.Get to know him/her.This can be mutually acceptable as both the person wants the best people for life.This way you can judge a person beforehand.So its up to an individual to decide what he wants for his life.Always remember,Love is a powerful entity and gives great joy and if reciprocated gives eternal happiness!


Ms A::my goodness, you explained it so well. I have seen both kind of marriages: the couple who did love-marriage are OK with their life but at the time when they were getting married, girl's family was so embarrassed because their daughter chose the man of her life herself. On the other side, there are loads of arranged marriage examples: it starts with dowry, then sort of rape, fights, no love, and all the crap.
by the way it's nice talking to someone so openly over this complex matter, thanks for starting up the discussion.

Me:Both sides have their advantages and disadvantages.But as i said before Love is a feeling.If you feel you love somebody then go the Love marriage way but if not then try to find that right person via the arranged marriage way.!

After two weeks i saw the contest on Indiblogger and thought of sharing this conversation because i felt it expresses my views very well.But before that i thought of asking that same "Ms.A's" permission as i did not want to hurt nay feelings of anybody.Finally on 27th August i got the permission and with a lot of careful thinking and planning am finally publishing the post.

One thing i have always believed and hence repeating it again whether it be a love marriage or an arranged one  any form of

"LOVE SHOULD ALWAYS BE WITHOUT EXPECTATION"
